Many West Ham fans have been reacting to reports that Fabian Balbuena is having to fight for his career at London Stadium and has nine games left this season to prove his worth in the team.
According to Football Insider, the defender is currently not in David Moyes’ future squad plans but he is willing to see if Balbuena can force his way back into the starting XI before the end of the season. The report claimed that the 28-year-old “has nine matches to save [his] West Ham career”. If he still struggles, then the Hammers will listen to offers for the Paraguay international in the summer.
Since his arrival in 2018, Balbuena has played 39 times but just 13 of those have been in the Premier League this season, per Transfermarkt. It seems that he was favoured by former manager Manuel Pellegrini and then given an opportunity to impress by Moyes, who clearly did not rate him, as he hasn’t featured in the league since 10 January.
It will be very hard for the 28 year-old to get back into the side but all he can do is impress if he is given the opportunity to do so. Here is what these West Ham fans said following the reports on Balbuena’s future:
West Ham will listen to offers for Balbuena this summer if he does not force his way back into David Moyes’ plans during the final nine matches of the season.

I’ll be very sad if he’s let go, great leader ship and just had a dip in form
