Sky Sports have now shared an interesting West Ham United transfer update involving Burnley star Dwight McNeil as the east Londoners continue their attempts to strengthen.

The Lowdown: Moyes attempting deals...

The Irons, after narrowly missing out on Europa League qualification at the back end of last campaign, seem determined not to fall short again next season as manager David Moyes reportedly adopts a scattergun approach.

It is claimed that West Ham are in discussions for an array of different targets, including Lille midfielder Amadou Onana, Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca and Chelsea forward Armando Broja (Jacque Talbot).

They have also been in negotiations for free agent Jesse Lingard in the last few days, but it appears yet another player is on Moyes' ever-growing radar.

The Latest: Sky share McNeil development...

Indeed, big name broadcaster Sky claims that West Ham have made contact over signing Clarets star McNeil, who is apparently eager to make a move back to the Premier League.

It is added that Burnley are likely to demand around £15 million for their winger who shone at Turf Moor last campaign, even despite their drop to the Championship.

The Verdict: Get it done...

For just £15m, Moyes could secure a very capable and shrewd option out wide and one that would seriously inject quality into his ranks.

As per WhoScored, McNeil stood out as Burnley's second-best performer last campaign by average match rating and completed more dribbles per 90 than any of his Clarets teammates.

Taking these numbers into account, you can see why pundit Roy Keane called the 22-year-old a 'big, big player' at Turf Moor and there isn't anything to suggest he couldn't do the same at West Ham.
