West Ham United, and by extension manager David Moyes, are eyeing a move for a new transfer target in RB Leipzig left-back Angelino, according to reports.

The Lowdown: West Ham overhaul?

The Hammers and their head of recruitment Rob Newman have so far sealed deals for Nayef Aguerd from Rennes, Flynn Downes from Swansea City, a permanent move for Alphonse Areola and Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo.

However, it is believed that they're not stopping there ahead of what may be a crucial season for Moyes and co, with reliable reports claiming that other targets are on the agenda.

West Ham are keen to reinforce the left flank, with Filip Kostic (Eintracht Frankfurt) heavily linked with a move to the Irons; but according to a fresh claim, it appears that the east Londoners are now setting their sights on a new target in Angelino.

The Latest: Angelino eyed by West Ham...

The ex-Man City starlet, who is also allegedly wanted by Barcelona, has emerged as a target for West Ham and Moyes, according to La Voz De Galicia.

It is believed that the Hammers have shown 'some interest' in getting Angelino 'immediately' as Leipzig green-light his potential departure this summer following the acquisition of David Raum.

The Verdict: Make the move?

Signing Angelino may well boost Moyes' options ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season, as it's clear that the 25-year-old possesses real quality on his day.

A creator of brilliant goals on occasion, the Spaniard has been called 'wonderful' by members of the media and has some experience playing in the English top flight for Man City.

Moyes' mission to sign a left-back as an alternative to Aaron Cresswell will be a heavy talking point this month, and it will be interesting to see who will come through the door during the remainder of the transfer window.
