Speaking to Sky Sports, journalist and transfer insider Kaveh Solhekol has tipped a big move for West Ham United as his sources claim David Moyes and GSB are interested in signing Inter Milan outcast Christian Eriksen.
Eriksen has been tentatively linked with the Hammers in recent days, with Nicolo Schira breaking news that West Ham had contacted Inter over his signature.
Should West Ham sign Christian Eriksen?
No, don't be absurd
This was then backed up by reliable source Fabrizio Romano, who name dropped the Irons among suitors for his signature – whilst also explaining that there had in fact been no concrete proposals.
Now, speaking to Sky Sports news, journalist Solhekol has revealed that West Ham are interested in signing Eriksen – tipping an audacious move by Moyes.
Described as a ‘really interesting‘ development, which has come ‘totally out of the blue’, GSB are apparently looking into the possibility of doing something with the Dane after Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta placed him on the transfer list.
Transfer Tavern take
In light of this news, another report from Sky Sports detailed that the Hammers have been ‘offered‘ Eriksen in this huge January news.
Along with former West Ham star Marko Aranautovic, the ‘phenomenal‘ ex-Spurs midfielder seems set to dominate the headlines for Moyes and co this month – but it remains to be seen how he could fit into their system.
The Hammers deploy two holding midfielders in Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice behind a front three, and given Eriksen’s status as an attacking midfielder, if Moyes does sign him, it will certainly be intriguing to see how he could fit.
