According to a report by journalist Duncan Wright, West Ham United star Declan Rice is ‘not agitating for transfer’ – with this simple four-word January update potentially coming as music to the ears of Irons supporters who don’t want to see their ‘special‘ star leave east London.
Rice, who has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in recent weeks, with those rumours heating up as the January transfer window approaches, now looks likely to stay at West Ham for the rest of the season at least.
Should West Ham sell Declan Rice?
Yes, wish him well
No, don't let him leave
Wright, taking to Twitter, has revealed the midfielder’s stance on an exit in January – with it being potentially huge news for West Ham as Rice looks keen on staying.
Suggestions Rice is pushing for a Jan move to Chelsea is applying gravy to the situation.
No different to summer, Chelsea love him, he’d obviously be tempted but he’s very happy at West Ham & not agitating for transfer.
If anything, only change is price will be higher!

Huge boost for Hammers
Rice, who has formed an immense partnership with Tomas Soucek in the middle of the park, playing almost every minute under Hammers boss David Moyes, now looks far more likely to stay in January after this update.
Wright claims that rumours of an imminent Chelsea departure are simply ‘applying gravy’ to the situation – and even though he would ‘obviously be tempted’, he’s still ‘very happy’ to continue as a Hammers player.
This comes as a huge boost as Moyes aims to keep his star man, but only time will tell whether he could move at the end of the season.
