According to ExWHUemployee, GSB and West Ham United are plotting a transfer raid on cash-strapped Derby County – with chief Hammer scouts said to be eyeing a good number of Rams players ahead of potential swoops.
West Ham plotting Derby raid
West Ham are apparently monitoring five Derby County players – with Max Bird, Jason Knight, Louie Sibley, Morgan Whittaker and Lee Buchanan all enticing GSB’s interest.
Buchanan, a young left-back, is apparently the one West Ham are most interested in according to ExWHUemployee – coming after rumours the Irons were after another English defender in Matthew Bondswell (Football Insider).

While these moves are not expected to happen in January, it ties in with previous information that David Moyes is keeping a close eye on young talent who could move to east London.
Indeed, ExWHUemployee also claimed recently that the West Ham boss was beginning a reshape of the Irons’ academy behind closed doors – with the club apparently set to appoint scout Shane O’Gorman at the start of February (ExWHUemployee).
In this latest update on West Ham’s goal of planning for the future, a number of Derby players are now being eyed – but only time will tell exactly who GSB will snap up from Pride Park.
