West Ham United: Fans react to transfer update on Roberto

West Ham United have confirmed that goalkeeper Roberto has left the club on a permanent basis, and a lot of the fan base are reacting to an update on the deal that will see him move on.
He didn’t make the greatest of impressions following his arrival last summer on a free transfer from La Liga side Espanyol, per Transfermarkt. The goalkeeper made eight appearances due to Łukasz Fabianski suffering an injury, per Transfermarkt, and in that time he conceded 17 goals, with two of them being due to his own mistakes, via Premier League.
He will now return to his home country with Real Vallodolid capturing his signature. However, according to the Evening Standard, and tweeted out by West Ham Gossip, the deal will not work in the Hammers favour as no fee has been paid by Valladolid to secure the signing of the Spaniard and West Ham have agreed to continue to pay a portion of his wages.
Judging by the comments, it’s fair to say that this has not gone down too well with a lot of the Irons fan base as they feel that the club haven’t done a good job when it comes to getting good terms for his sale. One even suggested that they are the ‘world’s worst run club’ – indeed many Irons fans do not see eye to eye with current owners David Gold and David Sullivan and this will have done little to appease them.
Here is what they said following the news:
