According to a report by Diario de Cadiz, via Hammers News, GSB look set to bid for Cadiz forward Anthony Lozano imminently – with GSB and David Moyes on the look out for any potential striking options following the departure of Sebastien Haller to Ajax.
Lozano, who has started nine games for the La Liga side this season, scoring three goals in the process (WhoScored), has recently attracted praise from the media for his displays – with Spanish reporter Jamie Mateos branding him a ‘brutal‘ number nine.
Cadiz bid imminent
The 27-year-old, as a result of his exploits, is now reportedly set to be the subject of an imminent bid from GSB as they plot a £13.4 million move – with the 33-cap Honduran international now emerging as a Hammers target.
It remains to be seen whether a deal can be completed for the forward, but judging by this report, there is certainly intent on West Ham’s behalf.
Transfer Tavern take
This report comes amidst links to Boulaye Dia, with the Reims attacker thought to be West Ham’s number one target as per recent updates from reliable sources like ExWHUemployee.
In comparison to Lozano, the Frenchman has bagged a far more prolific 12 goals in 16 starts this season – something that may arguably entice Moyes far more as he searches for a Haller replacement.
Time will tell who he ends up signing this month, but it will certainly be interesting to find out.
