As reported by talkSPORT, West Ham have made attacker Said Benrahma’s loan deal into a permanent one, activating the option to buy for a total fee of £25 million – which has allegedly freed up space for Man United attacker Jesse Lingard to make his move ‘imminently‘.
Lingard, who has been heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium in recent days, will now complete his signing according to talkSPORT and could even be in the Irons squad this weekend – coming after GSB snapped up West Ham’s first January acquisition in defender Frederik Alves (Evening Standard).
Lingard move to West Ham imminent
The Englishman is reportedly on the verge of a move to the English capital, with West Ham having ‘won the race‘, making it only a matter of time before he becomes the club’s second signing of the month, after Frederik Alves.
Indeed, the announcement is expected shortly, and it is claimed the deal will be a loan until the end of the season (talkSPORT).
The 28-year-old has hardly played for United over the past 18 months, with Lingard now reportedly about to complete his move to West Ham in order to garner first team football.
Manager David Moyes is reportedly keen on having him ready for Sunday’s visit of Liverpool, but time will tell whether he can make the squad in time.
