Speaking to Sky Sports via Football Daily, journalist Jim White has dropped a promising West Ham United transfer claim - going on to say that while talks for RB Leipzig striker Hwang Hee-chan and Man United outcast Jesse Lingard go on, GSB could have 'other deals being lined up as well'.

This comes after Sky broke the news that Algerian attacker and summer signing Said Benrahma has now been secured on a permanent deal from Brentford (via Football Daily), which frees up a domestic loan slot for the Hammers to sign Lingard this month.

White drops promising West Ham transfer claim

White, explaining that West Ham talks go on for both Hwang and the Englishman, has also dropped a promising claim - going on to state that the Irons have 'other deals being lined up as well' and as much as between £20-30 million could be made available to David Moyes over the 'next few days'.

GSB have long been on the hunt for a new forward, coming after club record acquisition Sebastien Haller secured an exit to Ajax at the start of this month, with an array of strikers previously linked to an east London move.

Transfer Tavern breakdown

Youssef En-Nesyri was at the centre of Irons negotiations recently, but a bid to sign the Moroccan fell through after West Ham and Sevilla couldn't agree on an asking price (David Ornstein).

Before that, West Ham were said to be very interested in the likes of Joshua King (talkSPORT) and Boulaye Dia (sport.fr) - but moves for the two target men never came to fruition.

Now, with the club currently in talks for both Hwang and Lingard, it appears West Ham's fortunes may be taking a turn - with White's claim that GSB have 'other deals being lined up' arguably the cherry on top.

What comes of these intensifying links remains to be seen, but they certainly come as promising developments with the Sky Sports journalist now dropping this big update.
