West Ham United: Nikola Milenkovic says ‘yes’ to move with agreement ‘found’ -West Ham Transfer Rumours

TMW Radio reporter Niccolò Ceccarini, speaking to Firenze Viola, has dropped an encouraging West Ham United transfer claim involving Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.

The Lowdown: West Ham in Milenkovic talks…

The Hammers have been in negotiations to sign the Serbian over this last week and it appears the move has been edging closer and closer, as per reliable reports.

Only true Hammers get 10/10 in this ultimate summer transfer much did West Ham pay to sign Morgan Amalfitano on deadline day in 2014?

The Evening Standard claim that West Ham are ‘closing in’ on the transfer of Milenkovic, despite also re-opening tentative talks for Kurt Zouma, while TUTTOmercatoWEB say only the ‘last details’ remain in terms of agent fees.

Now, TMW Radio journalist, Ceccarini, has brought another update – and an encouraging one at that.

The Latest: Milenkovic says ‘yes’ to West Ham…

Speaking to Firenze Viola, the reporter explains that Milenkovic has already said ‘yes’ to West Ham and an agreement has been ‘found’ with Fiorentina.

He backs that the only remaining hurdle, or ‘last knot’ as he puts it, concerns ‘discussions relating to the commissions and intermediaries’ of the move.

“The agreement between Fiorentina and West Ham is there. They have already found it,” Ceccarini explains.

“Now we will have to manage the discussions relating to the commissions and intermediaries of the operation, which is the last knot to be resolved. The deal should be resolved, on the basis of €17-18m.

“There are continuous contacts between the two clubs, who have sorted everything out, and the player has already given his yes to the London club”.

The Verdict: Good news for West Ham…

West Ham fans will be eager to see manager David Moyes make his second major summer signing of the window as quickly as possible so he can move on to the striker hunt.

Milenkovic’s possible acquisition is crucial in terms of the season ahead, though, especially given West Ham’s lack of depth at centre-half with only Issa Diop, Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson to pick from as senior first team options.

Their participation in the Europa League over 2021/2022 requires significant squad investment in key areas, so this update on their main defensive target could come as an encouraging one.
