# West Ham United: ExWHUemployee drops King hint

**Some West Ham United fans have flocked to a [tweet that was recently posted by West Ham insider @ExWHUemployee](https://twitter.com/ExWHUemployee/status/1347918778315759622) in which he issued a claim on the Irons’ pursuit of Bournemouth attacker Josh King.**

This comes after [it was reported](https://www.thesun.ie/sport/football/6384088/west-ham-josh-king-sebastian-haller-transfer-bournemouth/) that the east London club are targeting the Norwegian as a replacement for Sebastien Haller, who has been sold to Ajax.

However, per ExWHUemployee, ‘this deal is not close,’ as is evident by the fact that the [£9.9m-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-king/marktwertverlauf/spieler/91059) man started, and ultimately went on to play the full 90 minutes, scoring two goals and providing one assist, as the Cherries earned a [4-1 win over Oldham Athletic](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3491245) in the FA Cup at the weekend.
