# West Ham United: ExWHUemployee’s news has many Hammers fans ecstatic

**Taking to Twitter, many West Ham United fans have shared their excitement after ExWHUemployee’s update on a very popular player at Rush Green.**

Indeed, as per the reliable club insider, goalkeeper David Martin may not be leaving the club after all.

According to Ex, the 35-year-old could now stay on at the London Stadium in the possible role of working with academy keepers and as a back up option ([Twitter](https://twitter.com/ExWHUemployee/status/1400852273245339653)).

He was originally touted with a possible exit from east London, with the insider recently claiming that he did look set to leave although there was a chance he could stay.

The latter scenario now looks more likely to take place in a development which has excited plenty of supporters on social media.

A known [West Ham fan](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/august/22-august/david-martin-its-privilege-be-both-west-ham-player-and-fan), Martin is also apparently a ‘very popular’ player behind the scenes and ‘very good person’ off the field – leaving little wonder why fans are happy to hear he could be staying.

One supporter even branded it ‘huge news’, find a flavour of their best verdicts down below.
