# West Ham United: Fans flock to England footage of Declan Rice

**After Declan Rice scored a wondergoal in England training, before the national side’s 2-0 loss to Belgium in the UEFA Nations League, many West Ham fans were gushing over the ‘[absolute baller](https://twitter.com/stevenjgoff/status/1327712837280690176?s=21)‘ on Twitter.**

Rice, who has been a mainstay for the Hammers and manager David Moyes, is also apparently on [Chelsea’s radar](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1341182/Declan-Rice-to-Chelsea-Blues-to-test-West-Ham-with-transfer-bid-but-face-problem-SNT) due to his stellar performances in a Clarets jersey – with the west London club apparently continuing to monitor his situation ahead of a potential January swoop.

Frank Lampard’s side were [heavily linked](https://metro.co.uk/2020/09/30/chelsea-frank-lampard-offers-west-ham-two-players-exchange-declan-rice-transfer-13348790/) with a summer swoop, but the rumours eventually didn’t come to fruition.

The 21-year-old is also establishing himself as, debatably, one of the country’s most promising future assets – with some supporters tipping Rice to one day [captain the Three Lions.](https://publish.twitter.com/?query=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FDBZAHS%2Fstatus%2F1327667663066296322&widget=Tweet)

Reacting to his screamer behind the scenes in England training, plenty of Hammers waxed lyrical over the midfield enforcer even further.
