# West Ham United: Fans flock to Manuel Lanzini transfer update

**Flocking to Twitter, many West Ham United fans have flocked to the latest update on midfielder Manuel Lanzini’s future as Newcastle United reportedly eye a January move.**

David Moyes will be casting an eye on next month’s winter window in a bid to freshen up his options and keep West Ham’s hopes of a Europa League and FA Cup run alive.

West Ham are also still well in contention to qualify for next season’s Champions League with a top-four Premier League finish, with the general consensus being recruitment chief Rob Newman will target a striker, centre-half and possibly Jesse Lingard ([The Evening Standard)](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-january-transfer-window-daniel-kretinsky-b965632.html).

In terms of potential outgoings, there have been few reports by comparison, but [90min](https://www.90min.com/posts/newcastle-eyeing-2-premier-league-loans-in-busy-january-transfer-window) have now brought an update involving Lanzini and English top-flight rivals Newcastle.

According to their information, the Magpies are assessing a number of loan deals for next month and have drawn up a shortlist which includes the Argentine ace.

This comes as their new owners aim to strengthen Eddie Howe’s chances of securing survival for Newcastle with Lanzini firmly on their radar.

### West Ham fans erupt…

Flocking to this claim, many West Ham fans shared their verdicts on Twitter, with most not wanting the midfielder to leave in January due to his[turnaround in form](https://www.teamtalk.com/west-ham-united/david-moyes-admits-concern-despite-manuel-lanzini-finding-form) under Moyes recently.

The tidy 28-year-old has averaged a higher passing accuracy than any Irons player with more than one start (93.7%) whilst also chipping in with two goals and an assist in 11 top-flight appearances ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/29/Show/England-West-Ham)).

Taking this into account, it’s little wonder many supporters either don’t want to see him loaned out or believe it won’t happen – with one fan even calling him ‘priceless’. Here’s how supporters reacted to this transfer claim involving Lanzini down below:
