# West Ham United: Fans flock to Michail Antonio news as they drop verdicts

**As confirmed [by the club](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55368791#:~:text=West%20Ham%20United%20forward%20Michail,Premier%20League%20appearances%20this%20season.), West Ham United have tied down star striker Michail Antonio with a new deal until 2023 – with plenty of Irons flocking to this update as they go on to drop their verdicts on the ‘greatest news of all 2020’.**

The Englishman’s previous deal looked set to expire at the end of this season, with rumours then emerging over a fresh bumper contract given his contribution under David Moyes.

GSB then made the move to offer Antonio a new deal, with the club officially announcing that the deal is done – prompting many Irons to flock to this revelation.

The 30-year-old, currently unfit, has been favoured over record signing Sebastien Haller for most of this season when available – and he looks set to battle with the Ivorian over the foreseeable future.

Here’s what Irons had to say regarding this huge development.
