# West Ham United: Fans fume over Jack Wilshere comments after Hammers exit

**Speaking on his future as a free agent, via [West Ham news](https://twitter.com/chazinmadhouse/status/1324772534458458112?s=21), former Hammers midfielder Jack Wilshere claimed he would be ‘silly’ to join a team like David Moyes’ side who could face a battle against relegation – with many supporters going on to blast the 28-year-old for his verdict.**

Wilshere, who has [34 caps for England](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jack-wilshere/nationalmannschaft/spieler/74223) at international level, signed for West Ham back in the summer of 2018 – but after a plethora of injury problems combined with limited appearances, the club and player agreed to part company.

### Hammers blast Wilshere

> [@TomCoyi](https://twitter.com/TomCoyi?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) Clown still living in the past, not half the player he was. If he was good enough he would have been starting when he was fit, there’s a reason he wasn’t being picked

> Yikes, this really is not a good attitude. Was feeling bad that it didn’t work out for Wilshere, with him being a fan, but if he thinks of himself like this then maybe it was for the best that he’s gone.

> A team in a similar position to West Ham would be silly to sign you. More interested in talking off the pitch than on it. No class whatsoever.
