# West Ham United: Fans react to Fabrizio Romano update on Declan Rice

**According to an update by Fabrizio Romano, via [West Ham news](https://twitter.com/WHUFC_News/status/1324002732852826119), Chelsea will make a move for midfield star Declan Rice again in January – with the player apparently wanting the transfer, having already agreed personal terms.**

Rice, who has been a crucial player for the Hammers, was linked repeatedly with a London Stadium exit [over the summer](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-fc-transfer-news-declan-rice-west-ham-frank-lampard-a4557706.html) – with the west Londoners firmly interested in his signing, according to [numerous reports](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-fc-transfer-news-declan-rice-west-ham-frank-lampard-a4557706.html).

Now, as per Romano, Chelsea haven’t given up in their quest to sign Rice – with January looming and personal terms having allegedly been agreed over a multi-million pound move.

As a result of this latest update, many West Ham fans have been seething – either dismissing the news entirely or panicking over the prospect of their star player moving across London.
