# West Ham United: Fans sceptical over reported PAI Capital takeover bid

**Many West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to reports that PAI Capital have submitted a second bid for the takeover of the club.**

In a report from [The Sunday Times](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/subscribe/digital/) \[via [Hammers News](https://www.hammers.news/club-news/we-hope-sunday-times-claims-pai-capital-submit-second-bid-for-west-ham/)\], PAI Capital have been plotting a takeover of the club have made a second bid, according to a spokesman for the company.

David Sullivan, co-owner of West Ham, previously spoke about the first offer, [claiming](https://theathletic.com/news/west-ham-owners-turn-down-deirosry-informal-approach-to-buy-club/X1vxiK5U19w8) that ‘they never produced any proof of funds’ and that the bidders had ‘zero interest in the football side and saw it as a property move’.

Following Sullivan’s comments, PAI Capital partner Philip Beard [hit back](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/15708921/west-ham-takeover-serious-pai-capital-david-sullivan/) and called Sullivan’s accusations ‘unhelpful and inaccurate statements’.
