# West Ham United: Fans tear into Issa Diop after Crystal Palace display

**After West Ham United settled for a [1-1 draw against ten-man Crystal Palace](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0cZTaA-woI&feature=onebox) at the London Stadium on Wednesday evening, many Irons saw fit to lambast the performance of Issa Diop.**

Diop, who lost Palace striker Christian Benteke for the Eagles’ only goal of the game, has attracted criticism from a section of Hammers following his return to the side – with Fabian Balbuena out due to a [groin strain.](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/fixtures-results/west-ham-press-conference-live-19473139.amp)

Following Benteke’s opening goal, David Moyes’ men pushed for an equaliser – with Jarrod Bowen forcing an outstretched save from Vicente Guaita before polarising forward Sebastien Haller buried an[outrageous overhead kick](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0cZTaA-woI&feature=onebox) to bring them level.
