# West Ham United: Fans urge club to sign Jarrod Bowen in January transfer window

**West Ham United have scouted Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen recently, that is according to [@ExWHUemployee](https://twitter.com/ExWHUemployee/status/1206167921648701440?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1206167921648701440&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.hammers.news%2Fclub-news%2Finsider-claims-west-ham-are-keen-on-signing-hull-citys-jarrod-bowen%2F).**

\[freshpress-poll id=”267625″\]

The 22-year-old has been one of the most impressive performers in the Championship this season, netting 16 times in just 22 appearances ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdaten/spieler/314875)).

However, his contract is set to expire in the summer ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/profil/spieler/314875)) which could mean that Hull look to sell him next month in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Interest in him looks set to be high and as well as West Ham both Southampton and Newcastle United are reportedly keen on the £20 million-rated hitman ([Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1175128/Newcastle-news-Southampton-Jarrod-Bowen-Hull)).

The Hammers could certainly do with adding more goals to their team, having only managed to net 19 times in 17 league games so far this term ([BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table)).

It seems that most West Ham supporters would love to see Bowen join the Irons, with many taking to Twitter to urge the club to get a deal done.

Here is what some had to say…

> Please please please 🙏 Bowen is the best player in the championship by a mile [https://t.co/k19ioHf3lZ](https://t.co/k19ioHf3lZ)

> Bowen would be massive signing for us imo also really like to sign Kalvin Phillips although I think we will struggle to sign the later as he will be playing prem football with leeds next season

> Bowen would be a great addition to the West Ham squad. Great season for Hull City so far and has always hit double figures from midfield. Would be a great option to have in midfield and bring much needed goal threat to the West Ham midfield – something we currently lack.
