# West Ham United: Fans want Yangel Herrera

**Many West Ham United fans have expressed their desire to sign Yangel Herrera as [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en/news/man-city-loan-herrera-granada-midfielder/esme1o0jx5931rsspn53xo9v5) have reported that they are monitoring his situation.**

As per the news outlet, Southampton and a number of clubs in La Liga are also monitoring the situation of the Granada midfield player, who is currently on loan from Manchester City.

Herrera has been such a key player for Granada so far in the 2020/21 term, guiding them to a UEFA Europa League quarter-final against Manchester United and playing in a total of 39 games in all competitions, scoring eight goals and making a further two assists ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/yangel-herrera/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/378293/plus/0?saison=2020&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)).

The Venezuela international would certainly give David Moyes’ team another good option in the middle of the park, and at just 23 years of age, still has a lot of room to grow.
