Alves, who has been targeted by the likes of Leeds United recently, appears to be heading to east London according to BT – with the colossus pictured awaiting his medical having potentially agreed to a move.

Indeed, David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady are set to green light a deal of around [£1.2 million](https://www.bt.dk/fodbold/bt-afsloerer-silkeborgs-alves-til-laegetjek-i-west-ham) to secure his signature as per this update – but it remains to be seen whether he soon becomes a part of David Moyes’ first team set up.

In reaction to this news, Hammers have flocked to social media in order to have their say with a diverse range of opinions – find all of the best verdicts from Twitter here.
