# West Ham United: Irons could now target Abdallah Sima

**According to a report by West Ham United insider [Claret & Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/moyes-signings-will-address-age-issue/), Slavia Prague starlet Abdallah Sima is one of two strikers who could be targeted this summer as things stand.**

### The Lowdown: Hammers and the striker hunt…

Since [club-record signing](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/sebastien-haller-ajax-west-ham-transfer-news-b758216.html) Sebastien Haller opted to depart the London Stadium in early January, David Moyes has been on the search for a striker who can bolster their forward line.

Michail Antonio, whilst scoring 10 goals and assisting five others in the Premier League last season ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/69517/Show/Michail-Antonio)), has also [proven unreliable](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/apr/09/michael-antonio-could-miss-rest-of-season-west-ham-david-moyes) when it comes to keeping fit, and he is currently the [only natural senior centre-forward](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/west-ham-united/kadernachposition/verein/379) at the club.

A plethora of forwards have been linked to West Ham in recent months, including Adam Armstrong, Youssef En-Nesyri, Tammy Abraham and Ivan Toney ([ExWHUemployee](https://www.patreon.com/posts/exwhuemployee-49079836?utm_medium=post_notification_email&utm_source=post_link&utm_campaign=patron_engagement&token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJyZWRpc19rZXkiOiJpbnN0YW50LWFjY2Vzczo3M2JjNWI0Yi0wYzc3LTRhMjktYmE3Mi02MzVjYmJkZjU5ZTYifQ.X_dE9HYebEkhwoT_SQRAPUD5o_tlsM36hCBjjTffz7I)).

### The Latest: Sima could now be targeted…

Sharing the latest on West Ham’s striker pursuit, club insider [Claret & Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/moyes-signings-will-address-age-issue/) have revealed the two most likely forward options for Moyes this summer. Indeed, as things stand, the Irons striker target appears to be a choice of either Abraham or Sima.

[West Ham latest news!](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/web-stories/west-ham-latest-news/)

The latter comes as an interesting name given his impressive form in the Czech Republic this season and his fledgling age of 19.

West Ham’s [priorities this summer](https://www.claretandhugh.info/moyes-signings-will-address-age-issue/) are apparently a striker, central defender and the permanent signing of Jesse Lingard from Manchester United.

### The Verdict: Do it GSB…

The teenage sensation, valued at around £9.9m by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/abdallah-sima/leistungsdaten/spieler/776798), could prove to be an amazing alternative to Abraham, who Moyes has previously stated [may be too expensive.](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/moyes-reacts-to-talk-of-40m-abraham-raid-as-chelsea-striker-sees-/1c13ll2qjpooo19jbu27rzlvlp)

Sima has scored a very impressive [20 goals in all competitions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/abdallah-sima/leistungsdaten/spieler/776798) for Slavia, and we urge West Ham to prioritise a move for him ahead of the Chelsea outcast.

The teenager has cut a prolific figure in the Fortuna Liga and he would likely serve as another brilliant signing from Slavia alongside Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek. Lauded as a ‘[phenomenon](https://twitter.com/JaroslavTvrdik/status/1334685732435357696)‘ by Slavia chairman Jaroslav Tvrdik, we struggle to think of a better option for the Irons this summer.
