# West Ham United: Irons erupt as GSB told to pay £25m for Brentford striker Ivan Toney

**According to a report from The Sun, via [West Ham Fan Zone](https://twitter.com/WHUFCFZ/status/1364333225972219906), GSB and the Irons have been told to pay £25million if they wish to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney this summer – prompting many supporters to erupt as they claim this is a ‘[bargain](https://twitter.com/StuartDillon1/status/1364333648795820035)‘.**

Toney has impressed for the Bees this campaign, scoring a head-turning 24 goals whilst assisting nine others in 30 Championship starts ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/134240/Show/Ivan-Toney)).

This has reportedly prompted serious interest from West Ham ahead of the summer, with reliable source ExWHUemployee recently supporting claims that the club are keeping tabs ([West Ham Way Podcast](https://www.patreon.com/posts/twhw-podcast-new-47390003?utm_medium=post_notification_email&utm_source=post_link&utm_campaign=patron_engagement&token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJyZWRpc19rZXkiOiJpbnN0YW50LWFjY2Vzczo3OTk1YmNkMy00OGIzLTRlZTAtOGJmNS05MzY2NDNiMzBkYTcifQ.7i42D6djJ7YnYDqFt-posVWz1qsJmTBJ0dXJ5CzkVWU)).

Now, The Sun have joined in with an update of their own as GSB are allegedly sent a message to pay £25 million if they wish to secure a deal for the high-flying Englishman.

Flocking to this claim, plenty of Hammers buzzed at this supposed price tag – with many claiming it is a bargain whilst imploring the club to get it done.
