# West Ham United: Jesse Lingard talks begin as Hammers buzz over Man United star

**According to a report by the Daily Star, via [West Ham News](https://twitter.com/WHUFC_News/status/1346117556751523851), West Ham United have commenced talks with the agent of Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard with the view to a potential move – prompting some Irons fans to buzz with excitement as this ‘great’ news emerges.**

Lingard has been on the periphery of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans at Old Trafford, so much so that he has been linked with a move away for some time.

Now, the Daily Star report that GSB have entered talks with the player’s agent over a potential move to West Ham – with the east Londoners seemingly on red alert for any potential attacking additions.

David Moyes, having managed Lingard at United, is all too familiar with the player’s capabilities – and these supporters believe, despite his lack of recent action, that he would be a ‘class signing’.
