# West Ham United: Benrahma display provokes anger from Irons fans

**Many West Ham United fans have flocked to Twitter to slate Said Benrahma over his performance in the Irons’ [1-0 FA Cup win over Stockport County](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1515564/Live/England-FA-Cup-2020-2021-Stockport-County-West-Ham) on Monday.**

The Algeria international was on the pitch for the majority of this game, getting replaced by [Pablo Fornals](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1515564/Live/England-FA-Cup-2020-2021-Stockport-County-West-Ham) just before the final whistle blew.

[Per SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/west-ham-united-stockport-county/ksM), he was given a lower match rating than as many as seven other Irons players, including substitute Jarrod Bowen, for his performance in this game, with the [£19.8m-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/said-benrahma/marktwertverlauf/spieler/290532) man losing three of his five ground duels and turning over possession as many as 10 times during the contest.

### **So, what have these West Ham United fans been saying about Benrahma?**

Per WhoScored, the 25-year-old, who is said to be [strong at playing key passes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/137021/Show/Sa%C3%AFd-Benrahma), also failed to play a [single key pass](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1515564/LiveStatistics/England-FA-Cup-2020-2021-Stockport-County-West-Ham) versus Stockport, so with all of this in mind, it may be understandable why some West Ham fans were critical of his performance on Twitter.

**“I’ve been holding my tongue the entire match, and I know it hasn’t been a good display from anyone but… Benrahma. So wasteful in possession and hasn’t created a single good chance. What are we thinking about him?”**
