# West Ham United: Reports makes claim on Andrea Belotti move

**According to [WestHamFans.Org](https://westhamfans.org/content/hammers-lining-sensational-belotti-deal), as shown on NewsNow, a claim has emerged involving the Hammers and a possible move for Torino striker Andrea Belotti.**

### The Lowdown: West Ham in striker chase…

Ever since the January window, West Ham have been attempting to land a forward as they seek back up to star striker Michail Antonio.

Manager David Moyes even [confirmed that bids had been lodged](https://www.claretandhugh.info/moyes-confirms-transfer-bid/) for targets and admitted he was ‘[desperate](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-transfer-news-striker-moyes-b952699.html)‘ to bring in a new centre-forward over the summer.

Now, a report has claimed that West Ham have another one in their sights.

### The Latest: West Ham plot Belotti move…

As per [WestHamFans.Org](https://westhamfans.org/content/hammers-lining-sensational-belotti-deal), the Irons and new head of recruitment Rob Newman are ‘lining up’ a ‘sensational’ deal for Italy international Belotti.

The 27-year-old would have cost around £30 million last season but that market value has now ‘plummeted’ due to his contract expiring in 2022.

West Ham could feasibly negotiate a pre-contract in January after they made ‘tentative steps’ to try and sign him in the last transfer window.

### The Verdict: Great option…

Scoring[151 career goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andrea-belotti/profil/spieler/167727) at club level so far, Belotti has been called an ‘extraordinary striker’ by former Torino boss Moreno Longo ([Football Italia](https://football-italia.net/longo-belotti-and-verdi-can-give-their-best/)).

Signing Belotti either for free next summer or on a cut price move in January could certainly be a masterstroke given he is an experienced goal-getter and [39-cap international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andrea-belotti/profil/spieler/167727) – especially as a mere back-up to Antonio.

The Torino captain should, at the very least, be a target for West Ham.
