# West Ham United: David Moyes handed late injury boost before Sevilla

**As shared by club insider [Claret & Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/cresswell-update-3/), West Ham United boss David Moyes has been handed a boost before this evening’s crunch clash with Sevilla in the Europa League.**

### The Lowdown: Huge night ahead…

As the Hammers chase Champions League qualification and a place in the Premier League top four, they also have the chance to make history as they eye a run in Europe.

West Ham will first have to overturn a[1-0 deficit](https://www.whufc.com/news/highlights-sevilla-1-0-west-ham) from the first leg, though, with Munir El Haddadi’s hour-mark strike for Sevilla ultimately giving Moyes’ men a tough task at the London Stadium tonight.

Much has been made of who could be available for selection as doubts surround star duo [Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell.](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/news/david-moyes-west-ham-sevilla-23408391)

However, it appears Moyes has in fact been gifted a late injury boost regarding another player in Nikola Vlasic.

### The Latest: C&H share Vlasic boost…

As relayed by [C&H](https://www.claretandhugh.info/cresswell-update-3/), the Irons summer signing has now ‘shaken off a knock’ after [missing their 2-1 win](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nikola-vlasic/leistungsdaten/spieler/293200) over Aston Villa at the weekend.

Indeed, the Croatia international is now ‘available for selection’ in what comes as good news for Moyes and West Ham.

### The Verdict: Great news…

West Ham star Jarrod Bowen is [certain](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/news/david-moyes-west-ham-sevilla-23408391) to miss tonight with Antonio also [touch-and-go.](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/news/david-moyes-west-ham-sevilla-23408391)

Vlasic’s return, therefore, comes as some brilliant news for supporters given he now adds another option for Moyes to turn to in the forward options.

After a slow start to the 2021/2022 campaign, the former Everton ace has been featuring a bit more often since Boxing Day last year, playing in nine out of West Ham’s last 12 Premier League games ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nikola-vlasic/leistungsdaten/spieler/293200)).

Moyes has also heaped praise on Vlasic for[his work in training](https://www.westhamzone.com/players/moyes-heaps-praise-on-vlasic-after-first-west-ham-united-goal-v-watford/) with pundit Noel Whelan also saying late last year that he will come good for West Ham.

Whelan branded the [33-cap attacker](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nikola-vlasic/leistungsdaten/spieler/293200) a [‘top class player’](https://www.footballinsider247.com/whelan-vlasic-will-be-great-signing-for-west-ham-despite-embarrassing-stats-v-man-united/) with his timely return now coming as a real boost.
