# West Ham United: Sevilla expect summer attempt from Irons for striker Youssef En-Nesyri

**According to a report by Spanish outlet [La Razon](https://www.larazon.es/laotraliga/20210212/7d32ssvf5zgv5epieufs4k4nee.html), La Liga club Sevilla are expecting West Ham United to lodge a summer attempt to sign striker Youssef En-Nesyri after their failed January bid – with manager David Moyes revealing that GSB had tried to snap up the Moroccan last month ([Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/david-moyes-doesn-t-want-to-add-to-list-of-failed-west-ham-b900208.html)).**

En-Nesyri, who has scored 13 goals in 22 league appearances this campaign ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/youssef-en-nesyri/profil/spieler/433049)), was at the centre of interest from GSB and co in January as they attempted to sign a forward.

### En-Nesyri bid from West Ham expected

However, as per journalist [David Ornstein](https://twitter.com/David_Ornstein/status/1352186048667901953), West Ham couldn’t agree a fee for En-Nesyri which resulted in talks breaking down.

La Razon, with this fresh update, claim that Sevilla are expecting the Hammers to lodge a summer attempt for their striker alongside the likes of AC Milan and AS Roma.

As a result of this anticipated interest, the club have slapped a[€40 million (£35m)](https://www.larazon.es/laotraliga/20210212/7d32ssvf5zgv5epieufs4k4nee.html) price tag on En-Nesyri, with GSB potentially having to invest heavily if they do in fact wish to sign him during the next transfer window.

### Transfer Tavern take

While it is not mentioned in this report whether West Ham are definitely going to lodge another attempt, Sevilla are fully expecting it to happen – but only time will tell if the Hammers do return with another offer.

Lauded as an ‘excellent’ player for Sevilla by journalist Guillem Balague on [Premier Sports](https://twitter.com/PremierSportsTV/status/1352682071198748680), the 6 foot 3 powerhouse has become a regular goal scorer this season and could potentially replicate that type of form in the English top flight.
