# ‘What a ridiculous offer’ – Everton fans react to recent transfer news

**Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are fairly happy with the start their side has enjoyed this season in the Premier League.**

The men from Goodison Park have had a good start to the campaign all things considered with them having to face both Manchester City and Chelsea away from home.

For sure, then, the aim is to build from that whilst they’ll also be looking to try and bring in some extra names before the end of the transfer window tomorrow.

Indeed, Everton have certainly been one of the most busy sides in the market so far and we’re certainly of the opinion that there is more to come here by the bar.

Whilst we wait to see who arrives, though, the club has rejected a bid from Chelsea for Ross Barkley and so, with that in mind, here is the best of the reaction to the news on Twitter:

> Everton have rejected Chelsea’s opening £25m bid for Barkley that I reported last night but talks ongoing to try to reach a deal [#cfc](https://twitter.com/hashtag/cfc?src=hash) [#efc](https://twitter.com/hashtag/efc?src=hash)
