# ‘Why are we wanting to sell this lad?’ – Newcastle fans react to star’s latest showing

**Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern cannot wait to see how their side performs in the Premier League this season coming.**

It may be two months away but the Magpies’ supporters are certainly looking forward to how things are going to pan out with them back in the top flight.

And, before the big kick-off, fans can enjoy watching their side in pre-season, as well as looking at the club and who it might sign before the end of the summer window.

In the meantime, though, Aleksandar Mitrovic has sent out a statement to the club that he still has plenty to offer with a fine goal for Serbia against Wales last night.

Fans, then, have reacted to that and so, with that in mind, here is the best of what was said on Twitter:

> Goal.. Mitrovic, Serbia 1 Wales 1.. [#NUFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/NUFC?src=hash) [pic.twitter.com/dT5ukN2aX7](https://t.co/dT5ukN2aX7)

> What I don’t understand are the fans seeing a player who’s scoring and want shot of him?

> He needs to do it more for us. Ultimately.. What I’ve noticed here is that clip is getting a lot of Turkish interest.
