# Wilfried Zaha handed further one-game ban

**Crystal Palace will host West Ham United at Selhurst Park on Saturday but Roy Hodgson’s side may be without one of their key men for the London derby.**

According to [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11706/11630767/wilfried-zaha-handed-one-match-ban-and-fine-for-improper-conduct-at-southampton), Wilfried Zaha has been handed a one-game ban and could potentially miss the weekend’s fixture.

The Ivorian was shown two quick yellow cards in the match against Southampton after reacting to a decision the referee made in a sarcastic manner.

The 26-year-old was also fined £10,000 for the incident and was handed a charge of improper conduct.

Despite accepting the charge, Zaha could still be available to feature for The Eagles, as the suspension is not in effect when a player has the opportunity of appealing against the decision.

## The Verdict:

The possibility of Zaha being suspended for the game against West Ham will come as a huge blow to Crystal Palace and Hodgson.

The Ivorian has been a key player for The Eagles for a number of seasons and has come up with a number of important contributions for his club throughout this campaign as well.

The match against The Hammers will certainly be a test for the Selhurst Park outfit and will only be made even more difficult if Zaha is banned for the encounter.
