# Liverpool: Fans desperate to sign Willian

**According to SPORT ([via Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/chelseas-willian-said-favourable-discussions-liverpool-transfer/)), Liverpool are interested in signing Chelsea winger Willian on a free transfer this summer.**

The Blues signed the Brazil international for [£30m](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/23814060) in 2013, and he has since gone on to become a stalwart at Stamford Bridge after making [329](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/willian/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/52769) appearances in all competitions, scoring 59 goals and providing as many assists in the process. However, his contract [runs out in the summer](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/willian/profil/spieler/52769), meaning that he could be free to move wherever without his potential new employers paying a transfer fee.

As such, the Reds may be willing to make a move for the former Shakhtar Donetsk man. It seems that he would be a popular addition too, with many Liverpool fans admitting they would love the winger to move to Anfield.
