# Wolverhampton Wanderers: Fans laud ‘hero’ Conor Coady after Jamie Carragher analysis

**Many Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have lauded their captain Conor Coady after former Liverpool central defender now Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher’s analysis of their man.**

The pair discussed their time together with the Reds, with Coady revealing why he felt that he had to leave Anfield. They also talked about the 27-year old’s career transformation after joining up with Nuno Espirito Santo at Molineux, how good Adama Traore is and his England ambitions, amongst other topics.

The centre-back has played 140 times in all competitions under Nuno, scoring one goal and providing two assists, according to [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.com/conor-coady/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/128901/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=16520).

The comments were transcribed by [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11971553/conor-coady-off-script-why-i-had-to-leave-liverpool) and video footage of the conversation was posted by The Athletic journalist Tim Spiers on his official [Twitter](https://twitter.com/TimSpiers/status/1250801281779761154) page.

One quote that stood out was Carragher describing Coady as ‘gold dust’, which sparked many WWFC supporters to show their love for the Englishman.
