# Wolverhampton Wanderers: Fans pick Adama Traore as their player of the season so far

**Plenty of Wolves supporters have chosen Adama Traore as their player of the season so far when the question was put to them by [@TalkingWolves](https://twitter.com/TalkingWolves/status/1248578522265923585) on Twitter.**

In a campaign which [began nine months ago](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wolverhampton-wanderers/spielplandatum/verein/543) in the Europa League qualifiers and has seen Nuno Espirito Santo’s team [reach the last 16](https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2020/mar/12/olympiakos-v-wolves-europa-league-last-16-live) of the tournament as well as being [on course to go one better](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) than their [seventh-place Premier League finish](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wolverhampton-wanderers/platzierungen/verein/543) from last term, the 24-year-old winger has been a distinguished performer among many of the Molineux faithful.

Traore, who [came to the club in 2018](https://www.wolves.co.uk/news/first-team/20180807-traore-completes-molineux-move/), [scored just once and provided three assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/204103) last season and [admitted that he was disappointed](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/feb/16/adama-traore-i-am-self-critical-i-need-to-do-better-in-the-final-third) with his output. However, he has been much more effective in 2019/20, with [six goals and 10 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/leistungsdaten/spieler/204103) to his name, including a [brace in the 2-0 win at Manchester City](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49868094) in October. [Only Joao Moutinho has set up more goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wolverhampton-wanderers/leistungsdaten/verein/543/reldata/%262019/plus/1) for Wolves this term, while Traore’s performances have even seen him being linked this week with a potential summer move to Liverpool (as per [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/liverpool-set-sights-on-traore-to-replace-mane-or-salah/)).

These Wolves fans on Twitter all selected him as the team’s best player of the 2019/20 season to date:
