# Wolverhampton Wanderers: Fans react to Nuno links with Atletico Madrid

***The Sun* is reporting that Nuno Espirito Santo will become Atletico Madrid’s number one target to replace Diego Simeone if he departs for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.**

The La Liga giants are expecting to part ways with the Argentinian manager, who has delivered [three domestic and four European trophies](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/atletico-madrid/erfolge/verein/13) in his nine-year reign at Atleti. With PSG rumoured to be keen on Simeone, [*The Sun* reports](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11070568/atletico-madrid-wolves-santo-simeone-psg/) that Atletico Madrid will turn their attention to Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Nuno being linked with such a famous job is high praise indeed, and arguably well deserved. The Portuguese manager has [taken Wolves from the EFL Championship to Champions League contention](https://www.premierleague.com/clubs/38/Wolverhampton-Wanderers/season-history) in less than three years, but fans at the Molineux are having none of this rumour.

Here’s just some of the things Wolves fans are saying on social media…
