# Wolverhampton Wanderers: Fans reminisce over victory against Fulham

**Several Wolverhampton Wanderers fans were reminiscing over their side’s 3-1 win against Fulham, which took place over three years ago, after the club posted highlights of the match on their [official Twitter page](https://twitter.com/Wolves/status/1240355911551594496).**

It was during the 2016/2017 season when Ivan Cavaleiro, Andreas Weimann and Dave Edwards scored the goals which saw the club ease to victory and move five points clear of the Championship relegation zone [(via BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39239449). The season ended well for the Molineux outfit as they steered clear of the drop, eventually staying up by [seven points](https://www.skysports.com/championship-table/2016).

One fan called the clash a ‘great day’, whilst another talked glowingly about attacker Helder Costa who is now on loan at Leeds United.

> Prime Costa. A glorious sight to behold.

It really does highlight how much the side have progressed during a short space of time. Just three years on from the game, the Midlands outfit now find themselves chasing a top-four spot in the [Premier League](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table) and in the knock-out rounds of the [Europa League](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51828534).

Supporters remembered the fixture with great fondness as they took to Twitter to react after the club posted the video. Here is a selection of tweets:
