# Wolverhampton Wanderers: Fans show love towards Nuno Espirito Santo after news emerges

**Wolverhampton Wanderers fans were showing love towards Nuno Espirito Santo after some news emerged about the coach’s feelings toward media engagements for the tie against Olympiacos.**

The club confirmed that the entire squad and staff have been placed on [‘lockdown’](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11146383/wolves-lockdown-media-europa-league-coronavirus-olympiacos/) and will not fulfil their pre and post-match duties with the media. This is a move that could anger [UEFA](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11146383/wolves-lockdown-media-europa-league-coronavirus-olympiacos/) with protocols stating a club needs to provide their coach and a player for the press conference before a fixture. Rules also say that members of the squad and the manager must be made available to the TV and written press after the game [(via The Sun)](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11146383/wolves-lockdown-media-europa-league-coronavirus-olympiacos/).

One fan labelled him a ‘good lad’.

The decision to allow the fixture to be played angered [the club](https://www.wolves.co.uk/news/club/20200310-club-statement-olympiacos-fixture/), who put out a strong statement asking the governing body to postpone the game. However, their plea fell on deaf ears as UEFA [rejected the request](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/uefa-reject-wolves-request-postpone-olympiacos-europa-league-coronavirus-a4384021.html). Supporters were over the moon with the actions of their manager as they took to Twitter to react. Here are a selection of tweets:
