# Wolves: Fans absolutely delighted with Adama Traore’s performance against Man City

**Many Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have shown their love for Adama Traore after the winger tweeted about his ‘unforgettable afternoon’ at the Etihad Stadium.**

The Spaniard put in a fantastic performance to score twice against Manchester City and take all three points from the Premier League champions.

According to the [BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49868094), it was the first time Wolves have beaten City in the league away from home since 1979.

Wolves managed to keep a prolific City side at bay and were [the first team to keep City from scoring at home since May 2018](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49868094), when they drew with Huddersfield after they had already won the league title.

After only registering their first win of the league campaign last week against Watford, Wolves have now managed to grab another one, seeing themselves jump up to [11th spot](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table) with their second clean sheet in as many league games.

After the match, Traore announced to fans how he was proud of the team’s efforts – and unsurprisingly, plenty of Wolves fans absolutely lapped it up and gave glowing responses.
