# Wolves: Fans absolutely loved Jota’s goal against FC Pyunik

**Wolves cruised through to the play-off round of the Europa League after a 4-0 win over FC Pyunik at Molineux last night completed an 8-0 aggregate triumph over the Armenian side.**

The scoring was rounded off in sumptuous style late on by Diogo Jota, who finished with an acrobatic volley after a deft ball over the top from Raul Jimenez, and Wolves’ official Twitter channel posted a clip of the goal.

> Simply outrageous.

It was the 22-year-old forward’s [second goal of the European campaign](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/diogo-jota/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/340950/plus/0/saison/2019/wettbewerb/ELQ/verein/543), having also [found the net in the 2-0 win over Crusaders](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/diogo-jota/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/340950/plus/0/saison/2019/wettbewerb/ELQ/verein/543) that began the continental journey, and he already has [five assists in Wolves’ four Europa League matches](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/diogo-jota/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/340950) thus far.

After finishing last season with [10 goals and seven assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/diogo-jota/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/340950) in all competitions, Jota seems well on course to surpass those figures in 2019/20 if he can maintain his early season form.

Indeed, the Portuguese attacker may feel that his tally for the campaign should be even higher after [missing two good chances in last weekend’s 0-0 draw at Leicester](https://www.90min.com/posts/6430983-leicester-0-0-wolves-report-ratings-reaction-as-top-six-hopefuls-play-out-goalless-draw) and [failing to score from three attempts in total](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1375932/Live/England-Premier-League-2019-2020-Leicester-Wolverhampton-Wanderers) at the King Power Stadium.

However, he made amends with his excellent finish last night and these Wolves fans took to Twitter to applaud Jota’s strike:
