# Wolves: Fans critical of Rayan Ait-Nouri during Manchester United encounter

**Many [Wolves](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/wolves/) fans were sceptical of the performance of Rayan Ait-Nouri during side’s Premier League clash at Old Trafford against Manchester United.**

The 19-year-old started in the left full-back position in what was only his third start for the Black Country club of the season since his loan move from Ligue 1 side Angers back in [October](https://www.premierleague.com/news/1855936#:~:text=Wolverhampton%20Wanderers%20have%20announced%20the,of%20making%20the%20move%20permanent.).

Ait-Nouri, who is on a weekly salary of [£36k-per-week](https://www.spotrac.com/epl/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/payroll/) at Molineux, was guilty on occasions of [letting the Red Devils attackers run in behind](https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2020/dec/29/manchester-united-wolves-premier-league-live) after not getting out quickly enough from the back.

That being said, Wolves had plenty of [chances](https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2020/dec/29/manchester-united-wolves-premier-league-live) in a game where they were facing one of the better sides in the Premier League and the young full-back was looking to get forward at times, but the occasion did look like it might have been getting the best of him.

Because of all of this, some supporters were critical of the Frenchman and they took to social media to voice their opinions.
