The 25-year-old has picked up an average rating of 6.76 in the Premier League this season and as a result of that, he has been the club’s eighth-best rated player in the current league campaign ([as per Whoscored](https://whoscored.com/Teams/161/Show/England-Wolverhampton-Wanderers)).

Santo has [previously praised Dendoncker for being a hard worker](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/2020/06/27/wolves-boss-nuno-im-so-happy-for-leander-dendoncker/). He once said: “I’m very, very happy for Leander. I’m happy for the team, but especially for Leander as he’s a fantastic footballer and hard worker.

“He gives us so much. So, to have this moment is important for him – and important for us. And we keep on going – keep on going.”
