# Wolves: Fans flock to Twitter to laud sublime Adama Traore

**Signing for Wolves after their promotion from the Championship as the club’s then-record signing looked like a great move for Adama Traore and all involved, but his first season didn’t quite go to plan, as the [£18m man](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45091226) only managed one goal in 36 games, [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/leistungsdaten/spieler/204103/plus/0?saison=2018).**

It looks like the Spaniard could be on his way to rectifying a poor first season, though, as he shone against Manchester United at Molineux on the first Monday Night Football of the season. The winger came off the bench at half-time for Matt Doherty and his impact was huge.

After the game, [The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/wolves-1-1-man-utd-18965729) dished out their player ratings for those involved in the clash, and Wolves’ powerhouse winger was given a 7/10 for his performance after he completed three dribbles, one key pass and was fouled twice, [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/140088/MatchStatistics/Adama-Traor%C3%A9), as United struggled to deal with his pace.

You can read the Wolves’ fans verdict on Adama’s display here:

> Looks to play the ball when he can now instead of just running through the midfield and winning a free kick. Absolute game changer last night

> He changed the game in such a BIG way. He’s simply unstoppable when he’s in full stride!

> Adama had a great 2nd half when he came on. He’s showing signs of improvement, his decision making is vastly better than what it was when he signed.
