Nuno Espirito Santo’s side saw their [11-match unbeaten run](https://uk.soccerway.com/teams/england/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/680/matches/) in the league come to an end on Sunday, with Coady an [ever-present](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/conor-coady/leistungsdaten/spieler/128901).

According to fan channel Talking Wolves, which shared the impressive statistic on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/TalkingWolves/status/1206910533368242176), Coady has made a league-high 121 successful long passes from defence – and is the only defender to make treble figures in that regard.

Fans were quick to pile the plaudits onto Coady, with one particularly ecstatic he had left second-placed Virgil van Dijk well behind with a total of 87.

Wolves supporters were delighted with their captain’s feat, with some suggesting there are no better distributors in the league than the 26-year-old.

Below you can find other responses to his achievement, with plenty of positive reaction to Coady’s notable haul:

> His distribution is in a different league to the others… he’s a quarterback.
