# Wolves: Fans lavish praise on Max Kilman after his display against Slovan Bratislava

**Wolves defender Max Kilman was one of [three players to come into the starting line-up](https://www.skysports.com/football/wolves-vs-slovan/420534) for last night’s Europa League clash against Slovan Bratislava following the Premier League draw at Arsenal last Saturday.**

The 22-year-old centre-back has [yet to appear in the Premier League](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/max-kilman/leistungsdaten/spieler/525247) this season, but he was [handed a second successive Europa League start](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/max-kilman/leistungsdaten/spieler/525247) against the Slovakian outfit and helped his team to keep a clean sheet, with [Raul Jimenez’s stoppage-time goal](https://www.skysports.com/football/wolves-vs-slovan/420534) ensuring a 1-0 victory.

Despite getting few opportunities to impress, Kilman did not look out of place on the European stage, winning more aerial duels last night (four) than any other player on the pitch. He also looked assured when in possession of the ball, recording an 87.2% success rate from his 78 passes on the night. \[[via WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1427169/LiveStatistics/Europe-UEFA-Europa-League-2019-2020-Wolverhampton-Wanderers-Slovan-Bratislava)\]

The former Maidenhead United defender could be given more regular opportunities over the coming weeks and months, with centre-back Willy Boly facing a long spell out of action after fracturing his fibula recently, as per [Birmingham Live](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/willy-boly-injury-update-wolves-17174673).

These Wolves fans on Twitter were thrilled with Kilman’s performance against Slovan Bratislava last night:

> Thought Kilman was solid, very Boly like with his turns and touch, this competition is giving him game time he wouldn’t normally be given
