Moutinho has been a revelation since arriving at Molineux in the summer of 2018. Out of those 14 assists, [eight](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joao-moutinho/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/29364) of them came in his debut season for the Midlands outfit as Nuno Espirito Santo’s men went on to secure a [seventh-place finish](https://www.premierleague.com/tables?co=1&se=210&ha=-1) following their promotion from the Championship.

The Portugal international has formed quite the midfield partnership with compatriot Ruben Neves, with [These Football Times](https://thesefootballtimes.co/2019/04/12/ruben-neves-and-joao-moutinho-a-midfield-partnership-as-good-as-any-in-england/) describing it “as good as any in England”.

Signed for just [£5m](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44922630) from AS Monaco, Moutinho has undoubtedly proven to be an amazing bargain and gained hero status with those assist numbers.
