# Wolves: Fans not impressed with links to familiar face in Andy Delort

**Many Wolves fans have been reacting in horror after their club was linked with a move with Montpellier striker Andy Delort, according to reports.**

The 29-year-old is a familiar face in England after his short stint with Wigan Athletic in 2014, but didn’t last long with the Latics after [turning down](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/29003200) an approach from the Black Country club.

[Le Beuteur](https://www.lebuteur.com/article/detail?titre=exclusif-des-offres-de-premier-league-pour-delort&id=98673) revealed that Wolves have once again made a serious offer for Delort’s services, with Newcastle United also taking a keen interest this month.

The Algeria international has a strong goalscoring record in Ligue 1 this season, finding the net on eight occasions and providing six assists from 17 appearances ([TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andy-delort/leistungsdaten/spieler/122797)), the eighth-highest in France’s top tier ([Fotmob](https://www.fotmob.com/leagues/53/stats/season/15293/players/goals/ligue-1)).
