# Wolves: Fans react as Patrick Cutrone makes the bench for cup clash

**Many Wolves fans reacted in delight after striker Patrick Cutrone was selected on the bench for tonight’s FA Cup Third Round match against Crystal Palace.**

The 23-year-old was [named](https://twitter.com/Wolves/status/1347615303002255361) as one of nine substitutes selected by Nuno Espirito Santo as the Black Country club aims to reach the Fourth Round of the competition for the [first](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wolverhampton-wanderers/pokalhistorie/verein/543) time in two seasons.

Cutrone was recently [recalled](https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/uk-sport/18993620.wolves-recall-patrick-cutrone-loan-spell-fiorentina/#:~:text=Wolves%20have%20recalled%20Patrick%20Cutrone,his%20loan%20spell%20at%20Fiorentina.&text=Wolves%20have%20confirmed%20the%20striker,third%20round%20on%20Friday%20night.) from his loan spell at Fiorentina after a dismal time back in his homeland, failing to score and did not start a single game for the club ([Whoscored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/329681/Show/Patrick-Cutrone)).

The [£10.8m-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/265078) centre-forward has only scored [three times from 24 outings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/265078) for Wolves since his [£23m](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11699/11773599/patrick-cutrone-signs-for-wolves-from-ac-milan-in-23m-deal) switch from AC Milan during the summer of 2019, and will look to add to that tally this evening.

With Raul Jimenez still sidelined after suffering a fractured skull, supporters were delighted to see Cutrone’s name on the Wolves’ team sheet once again.
