# Wolves: Fans react to Jonny exit link

**AS Roma have shortlisted Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Jonny Castro Otto as a potential transfer target, according to Italian outlet [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/roma-corsa-al-posto-di-vice-spinazzola-in-pole-c-e-vina-35863).**

The Serie A outfit are looking to recruit a left-sided player after Leonardo Spinazzola suffered an [Achilles tendon rupture](https://theathletic.com/news/leonardo-spinazzola-injury-italy-euro-2020/ar2XXOMYRMVB) at the European Championships.

### Jonny eyed despite ACL woes

Jonny has been identified as one of the options, with Wolves’ permanent signing of Rayan Ait-Nouri boosting Roma’s confidence that the deal is feasible.

However, there are ‘doubts’ over whether the Spaniard will make a full recovery after suffering a second ACL injury in the same knee as his first (via [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/news/wolves-jonny-otto-injury-knee/B341QMxoy3hH)).

The report states that Roma have also looked at Manchester United’s Alex Telles but seen their loan-to-buy offer rejected.

Jose Mourinho’s side have already lured a player from Molineux this summer, snapping up goalkeeper Rui Patricio in a [£9.8million](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57816409) deal.
